The team currently under Raptors EC have made headlines by taking the ESL Premiership crown. A Cinderella run through the open qualifiers to taking the crown pushing past Into the Breach, Verdant and Endpoint, they have marked themselves as the next generation.
However, this is not the only time players from this team have found success. Marco “MMS” Salomone represented Viperio in the Blast.TV RMRs. Alongside this, he won Insomnia 69 with Reegan “ReegaN” Ward versus the core of Verdant.
Unfortunately, after this success, Raptors EC and the team have mutually agreed that the squad can openly explore other options when their contracts end. The players want an organisation that can align with the team’s ambitions, ensuring they are matching.
They would be looking for potential bootcamps in the future, funding for future LANs, and an increase in salary to ensure stability for the players and be in a position they can increase their profile internationally. They will still compete under Raptors EC until their contracts expire on October 31st. After which they will be then free to join a new organisation if they do not re-sign to the young organisation.
We will still see this squad play under Raptors EC at the upcoming EPIC.LAN in October with Adam “Adam9130” Ahmad standing in for Rasmus “zodi” Frølich who will be on holiday.
Sadly this is a harsh reality for Raptors EC. They are a small organisation run by friends with only one main sponsor. With the team finding success beyond the organisation’s wildest dreams, the reality is the team wants to progress further than what Raptors EC are currently able to offer them. It may be that Raptors EC will be able to expand their scope to match their players, similar to how Adam9130‘s former Into the Breach lineup left and then re-signed with that organisation on better terms last year. However, it is also a risk for the players, as we have seen many teams in the UK plagued by the inability to find an organisation. With the recent trophy added to their cabinet, this hopefully will turn out to be a calculated one.
Raptors EC will continue as:
Rasmus “zodi” Frølich
Reegan “ReegaN” Ward
Salven “Awayken” Lyubenov
Marco “MMS” Salomone
Arkadiusz “ifan” Dabkowski
Daniel “Papp” Hart (coach)
As we move closer to the end of our current contracts (Oct 31) with @RPTRSgg , we have entered into extension negotiations and have mutually agreed to explore all options going forward. This means we are looking at offers from all organisations.
